The same question i used to ask few years back. Some years ago i used to feel like I’m surrounded by people who are never going to change their attitude and are negative. Specially,it becomes difficult when your opinions don’t match with others.
But, then with time i realised that the problem is not coming from outside and it’s me. I started giving no shit to negative people (well you always know what’s good and what’s not). It doesn’t mean i started caring less. It’s just that i became more selective. I started building a habit of criticising people on their face if they’re being negative and correcting them and not feeling bad if they take it in a wrong way. Started becoming optimistic. I still face many negative people but then i take a deep breath and with the exhaled breath everything comes out.
In this case you have to change yourself for yourself.
And yes, keep that smile always on. Helps a lot.
