What are some good habits I could develop?

Some good habits to develop could be to get up earlier each day, to exercise regularly, to eat a healthy diet, to get enough sleep, and to avoid abusing substances.

Ever heard about the TURBO NIGHT?
this habit can really change the quality of your life for the better and fix one of the most common issues in our society: rest deprivation.
How many times do you come back home completely exhausted, your energies dried out by the daily stress at work?
as you walk in at home, you try to disconnect, try to spend time with your loved ones, with the activities you enjoy… but something is still spinning inside your brain. Maybe is that email bothering you. Maybe was the boss or that customer’s complaint.
Whatever the reason, you cannot completely disconnect, at least not deep-down at your subconscious level. There, the wheel keeps spinning.
Maybe you even go back to email before going to bed?
What happens next is by the book: you did not have time to disconnect, the hamster 🐹 inside keeps running and during the sleep your brain was actually working rather then resting.
You wake up the following morning and despite the hours of sleep, you are tired. Even before setting your foot off the bed, you are dog tired.
This happens because sleeping and resting are two completely dimensions.
you might have slept BUT not rested!!
So, here is where the new habit comes to help you: DOWNLOAD IT!
download whatever you were thinking about. Download whatever has been causing you tension, stress, that unpleasant feedback, that malicious smile,… whatever happened during the day that caused you unpleasant feeling you shall download!
The downloading process is pretty simple, all you need is:
Sit on your bed
take a pen and a block of paper 📑
WRITE DOWN, yep, old fashion manual writing!!, those thoughts and feelings that were keeping your mind busy!
when you are finished, just place the block of paper on your nightstand. And leave it there. Look at it and now relax
as simple as this.
Nothing else.
By downloading those thoughts on the block of paper and placing it on your nightstand you are releasing your brain from keeping working on it, as you know where they are. Safely written down and ready for you to pick them up the following morning ONLY IF YOU REALLY HAVE TO…
Because you’ll learn through this habit that what was unnecessarily occupying your hard disk is actually not relevant;)
p.s. cannot overemphasize enough the importance of sleeping to recharge your batteries. I even developed a “TALENT TURBO” concept to help my mentees and I to boost productivity at night (this habit is one of the 2 components of our effortless sleeping routine) and during the day
