Whenever I am feeling down or weak, I like to read a few scriptures from the Bible. Some of my favorite scriptures give me strength and hope, no matter what is happening in my life. For example, the scripture from Psalm 23:4 that says ” Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” This scripture reminds me that God is with me and that He will protect me. Another scripture that has helped me a lot is from Isaiah 41:10-13, which says ” Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous hand. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be not afraid, for I am with you.” This scripture reassures me that I am not alone, that God is with me and will help me through whatever difficulties I may face. I know that He is always with me, and that He will never let me down. These scriptures help me to feel stronger and more confident in myself, no matter what is happening in my life.

Being acquainted and having a general knowledge of God’s word, the daily reading and studying of the Bible, would give you the answer to this question and probably subdue the feeling before it had time to take hold. To wait until you are in desperation to turn to the Scriptures will not afford the greatest of relief.
For the relief and comfort you seek, I counsel you to start a daily Bible (KJV) reading program. I would suggest starting with the New Testament. You are not going to understand it all; as you read more you will gain more.
Romans 15:4 KJV For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
You cannot have the patience and comfort of the Scriptures if you do not know them.
1 Thessalonians 4:18 KJV Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
To be afforded the comfort you must know the words.
Acts 17:11 KJV These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Matthew 4:4 KJV But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
